Air Cadets have the option to do extra activities, which often take place outside of the regular training schedule. At 211, we offer the following optional activities:
OPIs: Lt(N) Greene, CI Hull, and CV Carranza
When: Wednesdays from 1830 to 2100
Where: École secondaire publique Omer-Deslauriers, 159 Chesterton Drive, Nepean, Ontario K2E 7E6
Who: All cadets who wish to play and learn band instruments. This team is not limited to those cadets who are already in the squadron band. Cadets do not have to have experience playing an instrument and do not have to own an instrument. Instruments will be provided to those cadets who need one.
All cadets who are in band or are wishing to participate in band must complete the following form: Request to Join 211 Air Cadet Squadron Band
Dress: Civilian, including comfortable footwear
Notes:
Cadets must bring their instrument and mouthpiece as well as any additional items such as reed, harness, strap, march pack or lyre.
Cadets are encouraged to bring a personal water bottle to maintain hydration throughout the session.
All band cadets are strongly encouraged to attend.
Please note that this is a joint activity with 75 Air Cadet Squadron.
